Staying local during lockdown
Covid19 has defined the current spring and forced many nature enthusiasts to cancel trips around the UK and beyond. For me this has been no different and like many others I have been forced to stay close to home. This has not been a chore however and I have delighted in enjoying some of the wildlife that is on my doorstep. In fact so much so that I have decided to write a new talk on 'Wildlife on my Doorstep' I have been enjoying setting up trail cameras and #scrubcam and #rivercam have been featuring a lot on social media. Many people have enjoyed scratchy badger and the otter family on the local river. Lets hope that peoples new appreciation of their local spaces and nature lasts and they seek to further enjoy and nurture the wildlife on their own doorstep.
